So, I think that first panel is likely my favorite panel in this comic so far. I may grow to hate it in a few days, but for now I like, so I'm sticking with that feeling.
Stormrunners have pretty cool abilities, in case you hadn't noticed. One of their abilities is perception of weather patterns. I wouldn't call it "seeing" it, but rather more of a feeling. They can feel where everything is, and it's interpreted as sight for the purposes of this visual medium. It's a pet peeve of mine when a sixth sense is described as another sense, like sight or sound, but I'm a bit limited here. In the novel, it's described a bit more like...putting your tongue on a battery.
The second ability stormrunners have is to move things around up in the sky. The stronger or larger the storm, the stronger the force required to move it. U'hano is dealing with a rather large one here, as you'll get to see next week (or today, if you vote!). The problem is, if you attempt to shove a storm larger than the force you can exert upon it, there's a strong mental whiplash... U'hano is going to have a bit of head ache when this is all over! HEY U'HANO GET SOME HEAD ON YOU PUT IT DIRECTLY ON YOUR HEAD.
Anyway! Hope you all had a good week and that you'll have another one. This week is also going to suck for me. I'm super behind in studying, but the material is JUST SO BORING I don't even want to catch up. It's all fatty acid synthesis and digestion, beta-oxidation, cholesterol synthesis...meh. "Imagination is more important than knowledge," right? At least I keep telling myself that. I also have a poster to prepare for student research day on the research I did over the summer. I've spent the last 15 hours trying to get that together.
Well, day in the life of an MD/PhD student I guess. Toodles, folks. Thanks for reading!
