"To go up, you must first go down?" Whatever is she narrating about?
You see that background in the last panel? That took me SO INCREDIBLY LONG. I've been trying to draw that city on a hill for years now. It's...satisfying to be able to finally make it reality. And now I can just copy and paste it where I want. WIN. There are serious perks to being a digital artist.
So this past week was a haul. And this weekend involving hauling lots of boxes. And I am exhausted and in need of some serious relaxation time. It's amazing how when you visit your parents as an adult, there is NO downtime. Always up doing something for someone. No vacation there. We also had a big 'ol snow storm, and when you live next to not only the great lakes, but ALSO the finger lakes, we get these wonderful weather patterns that just DUMP snow. Multiply the forecast x2. Saw this guy spin out behind me on the main stretch. I heard ballet music in my head as his sedan just went in graceful, sliding circles, in slow motion as watch, horrified, for the CRUNCH. It did not happen, thankfully.
Two words for you: snow tires. They are worth it.
And now, bed. This week is going to suck.
