Hey everyone! I hope today still has you all in good cheer! I apologize for missing last Monday's update, but I spent about five days straight studying for a huuuuge exam on Dec. 23rd. What kind of school gives students an exam THAT late in the year?! Apparently SUNY Upstate.
Well, survived it, came out the other end and just have drawn for hours a day since then. Hours and hours. I can't really explain how wonderful that is for me. Any artist who is required to be utterly consumed by something anti-creative for days on end understands what that does to the psyche. Short term, it's ok to take a break from artistry. I think long term though...I might go insane. I was getting TWITCHY. Toward the end there, the only thing I could think about was "if I can just survive this, I can until my hand falls off." AND THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING.
I now have a niiiice little buffer going, and can guarantee consistent pages for quite a few weeks. For those who are interested, I've been posting a lot of in progress stuff over on my new tumblr. It's a lot less effort posting there than on the forum, but no worries, I will continue posting on the forum too :D
While I've been drawing, I've also been streaming SeaQuest non-stop. I miss this show SO MUCH. It's so silly and wonderful all at the same time.
Since I have 2 weeks off though, and my family wants me home, I now I have to pack up my ENTIRE computer and cart it off with me. I don't have a laptop, I don't really want one. It's such a downgrade to go from the monitors I have to an itty bitty screen. It's ok for writing...but definitely NOT for drawing, and not for more than few days. So...I'm off to pack up KHAAAN!! (that is my computer's name. With 2 exclamation marks). I may be getting a tablet pretty soon though. An Asus. With keyboard dock and stylus. Those things are so cool. I know it's basically a laptop, but at the same time, it's just not.
Anyway, tune in next week for the next page! Have a happy new year. Thanks for reading!
