From the 14-16, I will be moving to my first apartment, in another city, as I attempt grad school this fall. I absolutely love being a student, so I'm not worried, but it is my first time out and about, on my own, not coming home every other day or that abouts. Moving should not affect next week's update since I'm working ahead, but it DOES affect the contest deadline, so I've extended it one week, until the 22nd. Yes, this means you have TWO MORE WEEKS to make me laugh hardest to win awesome swag. I posted a big 'ol hint on what makes me laugh over in the forum thread detailing the contest.
You know what I really, REALLY, wanted to put at the end of this page? I was stuck between "D'OH!" or "HOLY ****shit you moron!" (or perhaps, OMG TAIL. With a big arrow. Pointing at his butt). Ravar really goofed here. I mean, goofed bad. Enough to warrant that freakishly angry look on Ehranah's face, I promise. If you vote, you can see the sketch of the next page, and learn a bit WHY she's so pissed off. However, something else is going on here as well! Calm and cool Ehranah hasn't been too calm lately, has she? It's almost like she was deliberately poking Ravar where it hurt most!
And yes, looky there! Ravar has a tail! This is a mental projection, remember? It's not real, but it IS how he sees himself in his own head. What happened to Ravar's tail? There's still been some few questions about that, so please go here for details. No, Ravar is not a half-blood like Caspian. Ravar HAD a tail. A black one, as shown here.
Lastly, the colored, heavy inks seen in the first panel on Ravar were some practice for me for the upcoming origin comic From Earth To Heaven. When I did a poll on which style people liked best, colored, heavy inks were the favorite. Plus, I figured, shadowed Ravar....what's not to like? It came out exactly as I wish I had been able to draw him 4 years ago. Oi.
Go to the previous page for an awesome guest art of Ehranah by Laura Melis of Tomb of the King! ToTK, and now, ToTK2 (whoo! Finally!) are 2 comics I can't recommend highly enough.
