While the goal of the Hunt for Talon and co. was to capture and save Ravar, it backfired with Chaka's death. Talon knows he can't stay more than one night in the same place without the Nashrri finding him again, and the Shadows attack just before dawn.
In this chapter it's revealed that Talon knows all about the demon within Vrin, including how to summon it. Just like calling Ravar's name is supposed to bring him back (since his name is a portion of his True Name), Talon can call Azaq out the same way, or call Vrin back out if Azaq tries to take control. Talon was unable to earlier at the border of the Moken Fa, since 1) he didn't know what would happen at the stone columns, and 2) Azaq immediately targeted him first after manifesting.
Vrin and Azaq are currently warring with one another for full control of the other. If Vrin can learn Azaq's full name, he won't be able to take her over any more, and she can banish him. If he learns her full name, he can take her over completely. The terms of this war are stipulated in the Contract between a Bound demon and the Host. The end point of the contract for Vrin is that she has the time it takes for Azaq to collect 1000 souls to learn his name and banish him. If she doesn't, he gets control of her. Until either happens, she can call on his power at will, with consequences.
Because Ayenroki also hate demons, when Ravar finds out what Vrin is, by law, the entire bloodline has to be extinguished. If a host is killed before a contract is met, the demon can transfer to any blood relative and start over.

Remember when else the Kireken was red?
Hey all! This comic is officially over. Here begins the synopsis. I'm going to go with 1-3 illustrations per chapter. I originally just wanted a wall of text, but eh, this gives me a chance to finish up the story and draw some scenes I've always wanted. There will likely be around 15 or so pages total.
This will not update on any kind of schedule, but I'm doing as many of them as I can before break ends.
The story arcs following the other characters will likely be more concise since you barely know them, but I'll give Talon and co.'s ending as much justice as I can.
Enjoy!
