Well, the fight was a draw. Which is weird. Never had a draw before! At least it wasn’t a loss, I suppose. I should’ve tried harder, but I was so damn tired after sitting on my hands for 6 hours (not to mention annoyed out of my introverted mind by the drunk, hollering audience!). I had to be there at 5pm for a weigh in, and didn’t even get to fight until 11:30. Holy frickin’ heck! The last fight I was at, at least they alternated the fights between men and women, but in this one, the [only!!] women’s match got shunted almost to the very end. They couldn’t put it at the VERY end because I had a 2-0 record, and none of the people after me had better. Now 2-0-1 I guess. Meh.

I fought a woman with MEAN right hook. First time ever I’d seen stars in a fight, and I’ve been socked hard before. It the wait hadn’t been so long, I would call the night “fun,” but really, it was boring as hell until my 6 minutes of letting loose. Then it was “can we please go home now I’m really huuuuungry?”  Usually, I don’t like fighting or training with other woman fighters because they have a mean streak a mile wide, but my opponent was, for a change, nice.

The fight ought to be on YouTube tomorrow sometime.  Search for “Fists of Fury II” and “Karen Howard,” and it should pop up. You’ll see the “stars” moment I was talking about in like, the first 10 seconds. :D Must…go…see…chiropractor…now.
