This was SUPPOSED to be rant today, but hot damn, broke through the writers block and am now almost done rewriting chapter 9 of twow. I use NaNo time not to write a new novel, since I refuse to start a second still unfinished with my first, but instead I use it as inspiration time.

How's your novels coming? I know there ought to be a bunch of participants on this board! :3

I'm stuck with a writing task to do instead of a Nanowrimo.

*pines longingly for somebody else to stuck doing this trivial task instead of me*

My NaNoWrimo is patiently waiting for me to write it.

A week of vacations the first week of WriMo and what to do I do? Nap.

Oh well, never fear, I am sure inspiration will strike. And I will ignore it.

I've been picking at mine, but I keep getting caught up on the small details which really shouldn't matter for a project like this, but the perfectionist in me won't let it go. D: I'm doing a sci-fi story using a few characters I came up with a while ago that haven't quite found their niche anywhere just yet. The whole story just doesn't feel "right" so I'm having trouble moving along. I doubt I'm going to make it to 50,000 words, ugh!

Yeah, I know what you mean bugbyte. I've already rewritten my first chapter three times. It gets a little longer every time?

It doesn't help that my characters are just refusing to get along with each other. At all.

Small details, yeah, I know the pain!

With Nano, I try to keep in mind all the time, "perfection is procrastination." Did that quote come up here? I forget. But it's one that's sticking with me. Smiley I wish I could work on my Nano right now. I so want to. Have ANOTHER exam on Thursday. Nano should be during the summer, when people are off and not cramming.

I agree, perfectionism does no one anyone good. But I didn't want to start off with a chapter so boring I couldn't finish it.
